The thing is, in my opinion they're not just negligent like past presidential administrations.  Many of the things they have done that have hurt our Country were planed and executed with the end result in mind.

People have a very short memory or no grasp of history. Nobody remembers gas lines or how shitty the late 70's were for this country. Carter is the worst modern president, he's the gift that keeps on giving. One failed foreign policy blunder after another.

He'll be remembered as the worst IF there is a major recession.

If not, he'll just be known as the guy who let 911 happen, like FDR and Pearl Harbor, who was a tad buffoonish but did his best.
