People are the problem. You take away our guns and knives, but fail to remember that the thugs will ALWAYS have access to them, and taking away guns will give thugs even more of an advantage. i value my life and my family's lives.

You should research things before speaking, you might look a little more intelligent that way. in Texas, CHL holders are considered some of the most responsible people around. you NEVER hear about a CHL holder busting off rounds at innocent people, ever. you hear about NON-CHL holders using guns the wrong way.

We in America really need to work on this problem, hopefully Obama will work hard on this when he gets in office.  Yes knvies too, knives that are used to stab people, outlaw them, no knife shops cause they can be used in crimes.  Yes you can use a steak knife.  They could potential be used in crime, but I am sure they could make them so they would be hard to be used in slashing somebody.  More regulation on razor's, need ID to buy them and not a criminal to get your razors so thugs can't use razors to slash people.  You can see how society would be great after a few months of employing this.

We can't outlaw everything that could ever be used as a weapon jt.  I mean just look at prisoners in prisons.  They don't have guns or knives and yet they are resourceful enough to make something out of simple objects (shanks) to kill a man. 

It's people who kill people.  We think we are a civilized creature...but in reality we really are not.  We are all born with a conscious (ok some are sick people who are not, but I'm going with the majority) We are gifted with the knowledge of what's right and what's wrong...but there are those who choose to live the wrong way because they are always looking for the "easy" way.

To be truthful, I think the more we "evolve", the less we are "involved" with teaching right from wrong to our children.  I see more kids growing up in the streets and learning from the streets instead of from their parent...because their parents are either "too busy" or "cracked out somewhere".  Most of those kids don't stand a chance growing up, let alone growing up with a good head on their shoulders.
