In my opinion, high vascularity like this simply gets in the way of actually seeing the muscles. When someone has a lot of large veins popping out everywhere, then it's difficult to even see the muscles themselves. It's not a very desirable trait.

two potential problems with extreme vascularity are:  it can blur your definition, and it gives you a false sense of conditioning. i.e. people are always telling you you are shredded when you may still have bodyfat to lose.

that being said, i think Wolf was one of the best conditioned on stage and i cant understand how he doesn't place higher.
