They need to understand that this country can't just take verbal attacks, dismissals of issues, and fear mongering anymore.. Had they run on issues, McCain would be beating Obama.

Wrong.

Mccain`s solutions to the issues flat out suck.  They also DO NOT resonate nor benefit the majority of Americans.  Americans are realizing this and the tide of the election reflects it.

I disagree.  McCain voted with bush 90% of the time and bragged about it.  How could he win on any issues with that record? Their ONLY attack was fear mongering.

Admittedly McCain could have explained his positions better, even though all of his plans on his issues are far superior, he didn't get his point across like he should. Wether you want to believe it or not, the majority of the people do not want a socialist government. Obama will get us bombed and tax the f**k out of us at the same time. The lib press won't bother to ask him how he's going to get the money for his TRILLION dollar spending spree. Doesn't matter if your making $250000 or $25000, your going to get hit. Commonsense 101.

Fear mongering is not pointing out his associations with a terrorist Bill Ayers, a racist Jeremiah Wright, a scandal w/ Rezco, and his support of Odinga the Kenyan leader who wants Kenya to be a Muslim theocracy and is using murder to get there.

THE TRUTH

FULL QUOTE From Dreams From My Father:

Whenever I appear before immigrant audiences, I can count on some good-natured ribbing from my staff after my speech; according to them, my remarks always follow a three-part structure: “I am your friend,” “[Fill in the home country] has been a cradle of civilization,” and “You embody the American dream.” They’re right, my message is simple, for what I’ve come to understand is that my mere presence before these newly minted Americans serves notice that they matter, that they are voters critical to my success and full-fledged citizens deserving of respect.

Of course, not all my conversations in immigrant communities follow this easy pattern. In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific assurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction. SMEAR EMAIL

From Dreams From My Father: ‘I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother’s race.’

THE TRUTH

Nothing close to this quote appears in Dreams from My Father.

SMEAR EMAIL

‘There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.’

THE TRUTH

FULL QUOTE From Dreams From My Father:

He offered to start me off at ten thousand dollars the first year, with a two-thousand-dollar travel allowance to buy a car; the salary would go up if things worked out. After he was gone, I took the long way home, along the East River promenade, and tried to figure out what to make of the man. He was smart, I decided. He seemed committed to his work. Still, there was something about him that made me wary. A little too sure of himself, maybe. And white—he’d said himself that that was a problem. [Page 142]

SMEAR EMAIL

‘I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn’t speak to my own. It was into my father’s image, the black man, son of Africa, that I’d packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela.’

THE TRUTH

FULL QUOTE From Dreams From My Father:

All my life, I had carried a single image of my father, one that I had sometimes rebelled against but had never questioned, one that I had later tried to take as my own. The brilliant scholar, the generous friend, the upstanding leader—my father had been all those things. All those things and more, because except for that one brief visit in Hawaii, he had never been present to foil the image, because I hadn’t seen what perhaps most men see at some point in their lives: their father’s body shrinking, their father’s best hopes dashed, their father’s face lined with grief and regret.

Yes, I’d seen weakness in other men—Gramps and his disappointments, Lolo and his compromise. But these men had become object lessons for me, men I might love but never emulate, white men and brown men whose fates didn’t speak to my own. It was into my father’s image, the black man, son of Africa, that I’d packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela. And if later I saw that the black men I knew—Frank or Ray or Will or Rafiq—fell short of such lofty standards; if I had learned to respect these men for the struggles they went through, recognizing them as my own—my father’s voice had nevertheless remained untainted, inspiring, rebuking, granting or withholding approval. You do not work hard enough, Barry. You must help in your people’s struggle. Wake up, black man!

Now, as I sat in the glow of a single light bulb, rocking slightly on a hard-backed chair, that image had suddenly vanished. Replaced by…what? A bitter drunk? An abusive husband? A defeated, lonely bureaucrat? To think that all my life I had been wrestling with nothing more than a ghost! [Page 220]

Coach, this is me being serious.  Please find me 1 fact that you dont hear on Fox news.   Think about the shit you are saying.... "Obama will get us bombed"??  There is a better chance if you going Postal than us getting "bombed"... "he will tax the fuck out of us"  95% of Americans taxes wont go up according to indy analysis reports. Your Tax Rate going to 36% instead of 33% is hardly "taxing the fuck out of you" Go Donate 10gs to your fav charity and write it off and you are in the exact same position...

Trillion Dollar spending spree?  Where you getting this?  860 Billion over 4 years.... Iraq War Alone 800 million... HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Wrong.

Exactly, he has no real solutions so he is resorting to attacks.. His healthcare plan sucks. Obama's plan based on employers providing care in return for tax breaks actually makes sense. Plus McCain picked a vice president who is mediocre to the last degree. A person who faults Obama for serving on the board with a man who is a professor at an elite institution(University of Chicago), when she along with her husband were members of a group that was all for Alaska seceding from the Union.  :-\ Can you say trailer trash?

And lets face it, McCain just came off as a jackass in both debates to anyone with a brain. He told stories asking us to praise him because he was sodomized in some prison camp for 5 years; he gave nothing of hope or comfort to the average American.

Whether you want to believe that europe, a socialist continent, is doing better than America I think you are wrong.  The average salary is lower, and while some may say that the euro is worth more, proportionately speaking, it buys a lot less.  Taxes are significantly higher, which results in less spending money.  Socialism has failed in every instance, why would you elect someone that brings this to the table?  I think the dumbest possible thing anyone can say is that Obama has a "clear vision".  Shit I can have a clear vision of running over a mom and her kid with my car, that doesn't make it a good idea.  Obama wants to raise taxes on the "rich".  These said rich people are the smartest most successful people in this country, why punish them?  People with this much income will move out of this country, there will be no incentive to live here.  Our government isn't designed to handle the promises that mccain or obama make.  I just personally believe that Obama is just promising things to the country so he can make it in to office.

just my 2 cents...
