Then why do they buy things from communist China?
Just like EVERYBODY ELSE in America.
China, communist? Not entirely. You need to watch this documentary:
UP THE YANGTZEDirector: Yung Chang, Canada
The Yangtze River is about to be transformed by the biggest hydroelectric dam in history. By the time the dam is completed as many as two million people will have been relocated to new homes from the flooded area. As one struggling merchant forced to move from his riverside home explains, the Chinese people are expected to “sacrifice the little family for the big family.” This dramatic feature documentary about life inside modern China is largely set aboard a luxury ship which is making “farewell cruises” up the river, carrying tourists to see the “old China” before it disappears. Nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival.
In it, a Chinese man tells this joke:
An American and a Chinese were out driving one day and came to a crossroads. To the right, capitalism. To the left, socialism. The American says, "Let’s go to the right." The Chinese says, "Yes, let’s go to the right, but first put on the left-turn indicator."
