We have probably a 50-50 mix of chrome/black bars, they are all 45lbs. In fact i don't think I have seen a 7 foot bar that was 25lbs.

Oh you got me! Damn! Not a 45lb bar, please. You guys will do anything to feel better about yourselves. ;D

And that is as far as my arm will allow me to bring it down. Just try them and let me know how far you can get. 8)

If I were you I'd get out of that state as soon as you can, apparently gravity is failing.

do you honestly beleive you could have done that lift if your upper arm was locked in place and you had to actually do a real tricep extention?

I dont know? I dont even care. Its just an exercise I do almost every week and someone didnt believe me so I posted it. Bad form, not hitting the right muscle, and fake weights are just excuses as to why I can do it and you cant.

It is bad form but you CANNOT do that with good form (unless you can prove otherwise).
My triceps are wrecked from doing it as they are every week so how is it not effective?
The bar is most certainly 45lbs. Never seen a 7 foot bar that isnt unless its a hollow axle.
This exercise has helped me immensely with my overhead pressing. <<<that is all that matters.

Seriously though, please give them a try and prove me wrong.  :)

I've come across some of those chrome black bars and some of them are actually lighter than the silver ones.  There is no standard.

ive only been back in training a month but i guarantee i could do 'that' lift within a few months here, natural. . .what is 'this' exercise exactly? i dont think id be able to do it without going way heaver than i can handle with good form. . .my guess is you just did this to prove Q wrong and dont actually do this shit IRL, if you do you're am idiot and gonna fuck up your elbows. . .

Exactly, unfortunally the same goes for the plates, I've come across plates that are 10% off.
They should at least print the weight on the bar.

I actually do them every couple weeks I would say. My joints feel fine. Been doing them for more than a year now Im sure.

Excuse me if I dont accept your "guarantee." I have never seen you do anything in this board but try to disprove other people.

I never claimed to practice BBing either. Are you a BBer (that means you compete)? Im 6' and 300lbs, wouldnt you have "love handles" too?  ;D
