What does any of this jibberish have to do with the question at hand you keep avoiding....was there anyone but yourself in the 1970 Mr Canada?

So you are basically implying that he won 1970 Mr. Canada because he was the only guy that showed up that day?

Just because there's only the winner listed doesn't mean he was the only guy that showed up.  Nice try puppet.

Well, I'm sure Basile can clear that up, right?  I'm sure a man of his calliber would never distort the truth, or mislead anyone....

Basile is marked down in history as the best canadian bodybuilder ever

in fact, when you win the overall at the canadian nationals, the trophy is a statue of Basile

You seem to be in a perpetual state of denial.

maybe this will help you.

who appointed you as the "athletes rep" ??
was it the athletes??
NO
was it the IFBB (i.e. Manion)
YES

So you are in an official IFBB position, yet you competed in a show run by the IFBB and somehow won.

You "win" is a tainted one at best.....

Just making a bigger fool of yourself with every post....

And you're right, none of that equates working for the athletes....getting rules changed, more money in their pockets, health coverage, etc....does...all of which the official minutes show

Bob is apparently scared of the truth.

Let's see where Bob is at. He is officially the officially appointed pro athletes rep. He has an official contract with the Weider organization. He was officially the MC at the last Olympia but of course that is not the same as being an official. Bob conducts meetings on behalf of the IFBB for the athletes so he has an official capacity. He is responsible to those who appointed him to his official position. What is unclear is how he represented the athletes from behind the microphone. I mean, it probably took Bob a week to learn how to pronounce all those foreign names!

For a guy who is not an official of the IFBB it is odd how he is the internet defender and apologist for the IFBB. He is the official lap dog, patsy and fall guy for the IFBB. What is beautiful is that they appoint stooges who are oblivious of what they are doing. In this way the annointed feel important and remain ever loyal to the organization.

Bob is the jackass of reps for athletes. Here he is trying to discredit a former IFBB Mr Canada by his crass and demeaning posts. Why would anyone representing IFBB athletes do that to anyone who has competed? Answer: he is under instructions to humiliate and discredit me for my outspoken posts re the IFBB. Bob is also pissed that I point out the obvious gift of his Masters win over Jeffers. We sympathize with him because 99 out of 100 winners always feel they deserved their titles. A rare one was Arnold admitting that Sergio was better than him in 72. Well, Arnold put it differently. He said, "If I had Sergio's physique I would have won!"

The Mr Canada 1970 contest was published in Muscle Builder and Ironman in 1971.

Because he wanted the position and no one else did. Simple as that.  Shawn Ray quit the position after fighting to get elected, because it isnt as easy as people think. It is a thankless position that always can create rifts.

So answer the question already, Basile....were there, or were there not...other competitors you faced in the 1970 Mr. Canada?

Seems to me that people are letting a personal agenda against Vince stop them seeing that this is a quite savage destruction of Bob.

Not too bright are you?

Even IF, I was appointed the position...that doesn't make the position an "IFBB official" capacity.

That said...I was given the position as Shawn vacated it...and no one else wanted the responsibility....to this date, no one has wanted to run against me for the job....and I have said from day one, it is open to anyone who wishes to run for it...at ANY time.

Not quite...it's a lack of logic and comprehension, that allows for someone like yourself to think so.

Bob Chick wasn't in the loop in 1970 so I guess that is why he has to ask if I was the only contestant in the Mr Canada that year! Appoint him athletes rep because he is clueless.

i think he was 5 years old in '70 so i don't think he was up on who was winning Canadian contests then but why do you keep avoiding the question?

Perhaps all of the other potential competitors realized the futility of competing against Vince?
