anybody who looks in shape and fit should be able to charge a hundred per hour.... the fat out of shape trainers at your local gym are probably charging 50-75 per hour..  if you look like a bodybuilder and live in a big city 150-200 should be a cake walk and have tons of clients..

Depends on your location (here in Palm Beach Gardens Fl a "regular trainer" can easily get $80.00 per hour/IFBB pros charge $150.00 per hour and up/and get it)

back home in Massachusetts $25.00 per hr was the standard rate

i used to train some old dude who i met at the gym for 100$ an hour when i was 17 and not even a personal trainer,lol. he offered it to me and i actually got him some pretty good results.

here in nor cal central valley  theres a state level competitor who has a training studio and he gets something like 150-200 per hour... normally he only sells big package deals... like 10 sessions for 1600 ..stuff like that... people pay it.. dont even blink.. with a reputation of success/results.. people dont mind..

One perspective is that the highly expensive PTs are also the ones who can refer you to friendly docs for HRT and help you learn how to put a needle in your ass, for those without experience doing so.  Or, they pick the stuff up for you and the shots are just included in your weekly cost, when he does his own.   

Is it worth $200 an hour for someone to count reps?  Ah, no.
Is it worth $200 an hour for someone to get you the hookup, teach a complet newb to shoot up, and do it without destroying an organ killing sperm count, or going to jail?  Yes.

Just one perspective tho.

Friend of a friend, word of mouth.

Believe me, when a guy adds 15 pounds of muscle while dropping 10 pounds of fat, and does it 3 months, everyone he knosw is going to be be asking him how he did it.  Spose he gets a discount on his own services for everyone he refers.

Or, if the PT gets cash hungry and needs to add new clients, he can just start small talk with the regular, white collar 25 to 35 year olds he sees at the gym consistently.  he knows what they drive and knows they're not cops from small talk abotu work, etc.  Wouldn't take more than 5 minutes of conversation to work things out.  

People that have the skill of hooking up, teaching to use, and keeping successful people from getting their hands dirty are always in demand.

Trust me, reguardless of what someone's rates/prices page says they arent getting that per hour.

Not is this brutal economy.

Not with the drop in the market.

Least of all is anyone going to pay a '"pro bber" anywhere near that kind of money.

The people who do have that type of disposable income to pay 100+ per hr are going to want to be trained out of their homes or in an upscale private facility by an educated well spoken professional. Not some roided out juice head with a meth addiction and no college diploma.
