but I'm not going to vote for a colored man."

Just heard someone say that on ABC news.  They were interviewing people at a rally.  I thought that was just funny as hell, lol...

I just couldn't believe the guy actually said that.  What reasoning must be in this guy's head?  I guess he figures he's not racist unless he puts on a white hood and drags a black man with his truck... LOL, wtf...

I saw that clip a couple of weeks ago. Crazy. As I recall the guy was probably in his 30's, yet he's using the term "colored" like it's 1950.  ::) Clearly one those good ol' boys who vote repube because they "git 'er done."  ::)

I was under the impression it just happened yesterday by the clip but maybe it was older.

Who gives a shit? If blacks blindly support Obama because he's black, I have no problem with someone who is white refusing to vote for him because he's black. If you asked 100 Obama supporters why they aren't voting for McCain, 75 would give you the same response in reverse.

how many times are you going to ignore the fact that only about 10 percent more are voting for Obama than would normally vote for the dem candidate.  Again, the majority of blacks are dems, it's like you're calling the bulk of them racist for not switching parties and voting McCain?  And this is not an excuse for the hilarious and blind statement this guy made.  And that's bullshit, 75% of those voting for Obama are probably white or other.  What is the black population, somewhere around 12 percent?  For Obama to be polling what he is, that means the majority of his supporters are not black!!!   ;)

I suppose Colin Powell is white? lol

Between 99% of blacks, 50% of the guilt ridden white American youth whose parents and schools have brainwashed them and 50% of self hating whites overall, Id say that even if your figures are correct, they are voting for him because he's black. If they can do that, then the idiot they caught on tape should be able to not vote for him for the same reason.

I think we all know Colin Powell is Black, jackass.  ::) What you are to ignorant to realize is that stating that Colin Powell endorsed Obama simply because he is also Black is racist.

hello!! earth to george, earth to george... come down from the dark side of the moon...  Stop ignoring the facts and pulling bullshit numbers out of your ass.  Now address the posts rather than calling Colin Powell a racist or whatever you're trying to say ::) It just looks like you have no answer so you make it up as you go along... which is what you're probably doing..  People are not voting for Obama because they're guilty and you simply have no facts to back that up... It's the kind of crap that comes off stormfront... we're all brainwashed and guys like you are just trying to wake us up... oh brother....

I hate to publically admit this, but I was copied on some chain emails from a couple of my black friends concerning Obama.  One of them referenced why 'we' should be proud to vote for Obama because he is black and that it was about time we had a black president.  Now, I love that my buddies forget I'm not black at times...hahaha and those are my dudes but this email did make me feel a bit uncomfortable.

No one should vote for someone based upon race or gender, its idiotic either way.  Issues and character outweigh all other variables.

did they indicate that was their only reason they were voting for him?  As in the case of the guy the thread is made about, he indicates he can't vote for a colored man.  Have your friends voted for a white candidate or said that they could not vote for a white man?

I know the email that shootfighter is speaking about (or at least very similar ones that are going around.) If those black friends of his have voted at all in the past, I am quite sure they have voted for white candidates before.

dont try to defend that email dude.  lets just agree that he is being supported by a lot of people just because hes black and hes being voted against for the very same reason.  shootfighter had it right.  both sides are ignorant and wrong if race forms the basis of their decision.

It's always the poorest people that use race as the biggest deciding factor.

i'd vote for a purple hippo if he'll actually go into pakistan and kill OBL, lower my taxes, and end this irresponsible-ass borrowing from china, and has a back-up with an IQ above 60.

Which candidate is the purple hippo here?

I don't know the voting records of my friends but they certainly could have.

These guys aren't racist, they are my friends, but I think the rally cries are being trumpeted and people come together as a group (hence the chain emails).  Some of them still identify with being black first.  They probably want to see and be a part of history when we elect our first black president.  I'm all good with that, but its gotta be about the issues for me.  I like more moderates.
Nonetheless, its still not a good email and I would not send them something like that.

I am cool with the email. NotSorry you were offended by it, but I am quite sure those "friends" of yours are concerned about the issues too.  ::)

More accurate would be to say that he is half-black. It would appear that Colin Powell, by his skin tone is also half-black as is Condoleeza Rice. (a bit of white DNA seems to help) Why do blacks always claim a mixed race person to be their own? They all want to say Tiger Woods is black when in reality, he is half asian. I doubt Obama would be where he is if he were 100% black. Then again, I'm am quite sure he wouldn't be in this position if he were white. With his track record he would have never gotten this far without the novelty of his race.
