for the first black president or half black depending on how you view it he's doing better than I expected...  I wasn't sure it would happen in my lifetime and even now there are more videos on the net of "I can't vote for a black man" statements than I can count.  Even here on getbig, there have been many.  If you took Obama exactly how he is and made him white, he would probably be 15 to 20 points ahead in the polls.  Now I'm not trying to call racist in a divisive way, we all know how race has played out in America and I'm not pitting one race as being more or less at fault.  Just stating the facts that we all know all to well...

It doesnt hurt when the media is 100000% in the tank for you either.

I think it's time for everyone to give CNN some cred.
They've long been accused of being 'liberal'. They denied Obama air time. But not only that. They brought McCain on to balance it up somewhat.

They have been witnessing the shit at MSNBC and they already know that Fox news leans left. If they want to maintain any credibility they have to stay to the center and they have made a tremendous effort to do so. If u look at some of the big names on CNN, when they have been on other shows, they haven't pandered, they have done their best to stay neutral.

He is the Hollywood candidate.  If you want Hollywood driven politics he is your guy.  Leif Reifenstal also produced a marvelous film about a certain historical figure.

If you look at what he did BEFORE he started running for office than a whole different tale emerges.  Before he started running for office, Obama was even to the left of socialist Bernie Sanders.
Was Reagan a Hollywood candidate?

I mean the guy was an actor for 100 years plus he was president of the Screen Actor's Guild.

The difference is that Reagan has a long record prior to running for president.  Such as GOVERNOR of CA.

Reagan never had the media on his side like Obama does.

Fantasy is still fantasy.  Hollywood is fantasy.  Actors by trade are pretenders.  Reagan played the part of president to the hilt.

The teflon president (it was coined for him) was not a media pariah.  He was the Gipper.  Well, no he wasn't...he was an actor.

Have you ever thought that McCain and Palin fuck up so much they have no choice but to report the dumb shit they do so it makes it look like they are in the tank for obama?

When you consider the NYT, WP, LAT, BG, and the rest of newspapers, CNN, MSNBC, CNN, ABC, are all for ZERO, and you are going to talk about Fox?

Please - the media are on their knee pads for this bozo.

McCain has not run a good campaign, but the fawing over this clown is just sickening.

Coach you have to me the most retarded person in the land... People like you should not be allowed to breed, in less its a experiment to understand how people become dumb...

RUSH: The Wayne Huizenga example, ladies and gentlemen: "Dolphins owner H. Wayne Huizenga said Sunday no date has been set for selling up to 45 percent more of the team ... but the presidential election is among the issues weighing on his decision. That's because a Barack Obama administration is expected to mean higher capital-gains taxes. 'He wants to double the capital gains tax, or almost double it,' Huizenga said. 'I'd rather give it to charity than to Obama.  If you do it this year or you do it next year, the difference is humongous because of the taxes,' Huizenga said." Now, the dirty little secret is that businesses larger and smaller than the Dolphins are going through this same exercise.  A lot of businesses around the country are now asking themselves, "When do we shut this down? When do we sell it?  Sooner? Soon?  When do we do it?"

Obama's thugs say flat-out that taxes are going up.  In the teeth of an economic slowdown, we get guaranteed tax increases, businesses are being dumped in anticipation of Obama's presidency -- and these people are contemplating doing this.  You know what's ironic about it is that these businesses are the business that employ people, and many of the people who work in these companies have been infested with this whole silly notion of "economic justice," meaning that there's a great equalizer, some great powerful force that can come in and take away from the people who are too rich -- and who have no right to it; they don't deserve it -- and somehow give it to everybody else.  There's an interesting statistic, and we're almost at this point.

You could confiscate -- not tax, you could confiscate -- the wealth of the upper 5% or the upper 10%. You could confiscate the wealth of the upper 40% of the people in this country. You could do it one time only because they'd have nothing left -- and you could run the government for less than a year, if you confiscated their wealth.  There simply isn't enough private wealth to take a portion of it and make everybody else in this country rich, which is what socialism implies.  What the social justice, the economic justice, the way they use the term in order to sell it, it's very clever rhetoric, but it doesn't end up working that way.  Everybody ends up being taxed because there isn't enough private wealth generated for the government to take it every year and make a substantial difference in the lives of people who are not wealthy, it just isn't the case.  Never has been the case.

But the people at the lower end or middle end of the scale don't know this because they keep hearing about the income gap widening and the wage gap widening and they think that all the wealth is in the hands of a few people.  They're very, very, very susceptible to the argument.  It goes back to this notion that once people decide, once they learn that they can vote themselves goodies; then you start down the dangerous path.  By the way, for those of you who think that you're okay with Obama's tax plan because you earn less than $250,000, and he said that 95% of Americans are going to get a tax cut, and if you make less than 250,000, you have nothing to worry about: A, first thing that's wrong because there are some tax cuts that are going to expire in 2010, and when they expire the tax rate's going to go up for everybody which equals a tax increase. You're going to have to less disposable income.  Here's Obama July 7th in St. Louis.

OBAMA:  If Senator McCain wants a debate about taxes in this campaign, then it is a debate I have (sic) happy to have, because if you're a family making less than $250,000 a year, my plan will not raise your taxes.

RUSH:  Later in the campaign -- this is just recently -- very slyly, very slyly, Obama reduced the figure.

OBAMA:  If you have a job, pay taxes, and make less than $200,000 a year, you'll get a tax cut.

RUSH:  Whoa! So $250,000 has become $200,000.  Yesterday Joe Biden in a TV interview on WNEP-TV, Channel 16 in Scranton Wilkes-Barre lowered it again.

BIDEN:  It should go like it used to. It should go to middle-class people, people making under $150,000 a year.

RUSH:  Now, you can say, "Well, you know, this is Joe. He has these rhetorical flourishes and he may not be up to speed on what the campaign is doing," but it's come down from 250, and then went to $200,000, and yesterday Biden said you're cool if you make less than 150.  Anybody over that is going to get soaked.

I am not too concerned if Wayne Huizenga only earns $450 million on his sale, and not the $550 millino he planned on.

Not concerned about Huizenga either, just the highlighted. Seems Biden and Obama can't get their stories straight.

The bottom line is that Obama were to be elected and let the Bush tax cuts expire, everyone waho pays taxes would get a tax increase.

Obama is lying about this.  By simply letting the Bush tax cuts expire everyone is getting a tax increase.

They know he's lying, just like when he lied about not taking public campaign financing. But even when out spending McCain 4-1 there is still a good chance he might lose. Wouldn't that be a kick in balls ;D?

The economic ignorance of these cult members is amazing.  They simply cannot realize the fact that when the Bush tax cuts expire, EVERYONE is getting a tax increase.  The amount of money ZERO is offering as a tax cut to those below 250k does not offset the increase once the rate re-set.

He has been completely dishonest about this fact, as well as almost everything else.

I don't understand why the discussion is about tax cuts.
Tax cuts that neither candidate can finance, I might add.

Newsflash:
THERE IS STILL A BUDGET DEFICIT!!

How can anyone talk about cutting taxes when there is no money for it.

Just as Bush- totally fiscally irresponsible.

Balancing the budget? Is that just something for real persons?
If tax cuts that aren't financed, that should be something good - getting rid of irresponsible budget policies should be a prime concern.

Slash the biggest spendings, like the war in Iraq, slim the defence and put an effort into getting good working relation with Russia, so less money have to be spent on military bases in Europe.

It's not really a loaf of bread, is it?  :P
