there is no rational for the third fight given that wandy has two wins however.....

.....UFC is putting this match on for it's year end show and year end shows are known for having marquee matches from top to bottom (to a extent)

and.....i'm willing to bet that dana is looking to give wandy "the push" and is hoping that a third, brutalizing owning of rampage will get wandy even more "over"
