Some people refer to this phenomenon as "anabolic lag".

Given the choice most people prefer to lean on the Anabolic fix rather than alter diet or training.

DIV

Agreed.

Jesus, I wish I never had to hop OFF the anabolic train. AAS is cheap enough, it's not about money... but health. Stupid health. If I could, I'd just stay on forever dammit!!!! Bah!!! lol

I know lots of guys who never come off... their health is fine.

It's the asymptomatic health affects that you need to worry about. Until you prostate swells up to the size of a grapefruit, you may seem perfectly fine on the surface. Permanent damage to your body's endocrine system may not be detected until you've long passed the point of no return - I know this is debatable, but I wouldn't want to spend countless hours visiting endocrinologists and trying different hormonal concoctions just to return my hormones to normal levels.

Trust me, I'm sure anyone who's stuck a needle in their ass has probably put some serious and in depth consideration for this. I'm damn near willing to take the bullet, but I'd like to wait until I'm a little older. I'll definitely be on a good TRT program when I'm around 40, whether it's self administered or legally prescribed. It's just a matter of should I mess myself now, or later when I'll be on the decline anyway. :)

For some reason steroids reduce my training drive. I get lazy. When off I find myself going to the gym more days of the week.

Don't megadose, then, Stavios.

Keep at something reasonable and stay on it for an extended period.

If you're going for professional bodybuilding it doesn't pay to come off at all.

Make your choice and live with it.

I am not going for professional bodybuilding at all

1. I don't have the genetics for that
2. I don't have the genetics for that  ;D

I do it just for fun, I have no hopes of even placing high at a national show.

I see some of my friends looking 10 times better than I do and they take half my doses, so it brought me back to earth

Then stop wasting your money and take small amounts over longer periods of time......

It's about feeling better and being able to improve your health, not tear it down...

AAS should supplement your lifestyle, not take it over.

I heard some people can come off and they can recover after years of use, your body is amazing at recovering.  I don't worry too much about my health, we all die eventually.

The longterm incidence of sterility from AAS are clearly overstated.

Many of these IFBB pros who stay on for years at a time have children later without incident.

Look at Arnold.

He megadosed on AAS for years and still had kids.

Granted, his body looks like shit now, but that because of heart surgery and age.

I don't miss it too much.

Been off for well over a year.

the first 8 months off i trained really hard, even made some decent gains.

Hurricane Ike hits and i've been to the gym maybe once a week since then.

Oddly enough my values are almost exactly the same as they were when i started juicing 7 years ago. BP is actually lower.

Overload,

Someone like you doesn't just jump off the AAS train.

I think it's time for you to turn back to the Darkside.

Hurricane or not, excuses or not......

I think the time has come for you to take responsibility for your lifting again.

Agreed, if you are going for a pro card then there is a span of years you have to go hard and be very disciplined in diet and training.
