The stats I have seen show illegals to be a clear drain on the economy.  Also, southern california is a complete mess with mexican gangs, a very large % of whom are illegal immigrants.
Its not just about the $, illegals also change the culture and makeup of America negatively as many of them do not have the best values, great work ethic, respect for our laws, traditions and education.

Let the immigrants who want to be productive in on a fast-track to citizenship.  Welcome them!  Force the others to leave.  We must protect our boarders, it is the law and needs to be enforced.  A country without boarders will spiral downward.

Its not just the democrats who support illegal immigration (or choose to do nothing about it), its greedy business owners who pay less for labor.

2. Drive w/o a license
3. Sexual assault (usually on a minor)

I love it how Schwarzenegger now wants help from the federal government.

It's just a fundamental lack of fiscal responsibility.

When the economy were running fine a few years ago, the states had the chance to raise taxes to avoid the economy from overheating and also to run a surplus to build a healthy buffert to use when a recession would come.

I had the same argument with the apologists and morons about this a few years ago.  I simply asked what these illegals were going to do when the housing market turned down.

Again - no answer from the illegal alien apologists.

Now we have literally millions of people who need these jobs and have to compete with third world people willing to work for slave wages and live on the floor in a room with 25 others.
