On a serious note.  Your post reminded me of a past workout that I think was "intermediate."  I went from 212 to 232 over one summer.

I did the following:

Mon: chest and bis
Tues: legs
Wed: off
Thurs: back
Fri: shoulders and tris
Sat/Sun: off

I would do 3 exercises per bodypart - 3 sets per exercise.  I would pyramid down with the following rep scheme - 10,8, and finally 6.  The last set was to positive failure while the others were warm-ups/moderate weight.

The movements were very basic (e.g. squat, bench, deads). It was really a no-frills workout but it was a nice transition from full body workouts.

everyone is different, but a 3 or 4 day split would be best IMO. It all depends on your schedule and how well you can recover. Maybe
Day 1-Shoulders
Day 2-Legs
Rest
Day 3-Back,Biceps
Day 4-Chest, Triceps
Off
This is just an example there are a million different ones.

good point. Are you switching it up because you've stalled or because you feel it's time?

What the hell is an "intermediate" bodybuilder and what does one have to achieve in this great pursuit of ours to qualify as one?
