tonight i was in a store buying stuff and i saw the perfect pushup and get to try it out...i think its interesting but not worth the money! felt real easy!

I liked it.

Maybe you should get your fiance to sit on you next time you do pushups, so it won't be so easy.

Personally, I like 1-arm pushups. Great exercise, hits everything pretty good- shoulders, chest, and triceps.

A regular pushup is just fine, though the perfect pushup puts your wrist in a safer position. This can be achieved without any external aids, though.

The Perfect PushUp follow's the natural twist of the hand/wrist, forearms/elbows and shoulder joints. Much less tension on all of these. Like doing chins with a set of gymnastic rings or even with rotating cable handles, which can also follow the natural hand twist. Like when throwing any kind of straight punch, the  fist is twisting at the start and finish of the strike. It is all about torque power and the natural way the strike is used.

Pushup's are somewhat limited for max development but could suit people who want to achieve a certain amount of muscle, just for the sake of staying in some form of shape. Would be interesting to see if that Perfect PushUp device could be used for handstand pushup's.  That is a great upper body builder. Could even put your feet on a bench, chair, table, etc so more of an incline effect is gotten. Good Luck.

Side Bar: Like to be the guy who invented it and put it on the market. Christmas time and all that, it should sell very well.

LOL calm down kid, stay with the thread. Your misuse of apostophes has been a major grammatical faux-pas for a long time now. I should be thanked actually since this error's been part of the "repertoire" for life. Misuse as seen here diminishes anyone. Leaving out caps on the other hand, is an understood part of online posting that's known to most. You might also want to use the glasses on pumpster, there ain't no cap there dude.  ;)

The twisting motion on a punch is fairly minute, nowhere near that of a perfect pushup. Very different ROM. Twisting a wrist alot while punching would be crazy actually not to mention painful. Not a great analogy.

The perfect pushup's not a bad idea for those who'd appreciate the differences. There are all sorts of things out in the last few years that qualify as inessential but nice complements to established exercises.

I've got a pair & I like them. Good for the times you can't make it to the gym. I also fine less stress on my elbows & wrists.

There is nothing wrong with using them.  They give you a slightly greater range of motion and might be easier on the wrist but there is no magic in them.  It is surprising how many weight trainers put down body weight training.  There is more to training than pure strength training.  Conditioning is just as important. Physical qualities like speed, power, and endurance seem to take a back seat to strength training when they are just as important to athletic performance.  How many 400lbs bench pressers can't do 60 perfect full range pushups? How many big power lift type squatters can't show a good vertical leap or decent sprinting speed.  What good is that low bar half squat doing for them functionally?  Many body weight exercisers are in way better shape than many gym weight trainers.  Push ups, chins, dips, body weight hanging rows; pistols, burpees and such will get you in true shape and not just cosmetic shape. 

Many hard core guys involved in physical culture are realizing that using weight training combined with body weight training gives them a real edge in athletics.

Great for strengthening the wrist and giving it better stability.

I like to do knuckle pushups on broken glass and fire ants.  Pain is weakness leaving the body.
