hatton v pacman would be a great fight,,, very evenly suited, mayweather would kill him tho.......

best fight of the night wouldnt have been shown in the US.... carl froch v pasqual for the super middleweight belts... toe to toe for 12 rounds, thats why boxing will always be the sport of kings

Froch v Pascal

reminded me of the old tear ups between Benn and Eubank

Great post! No doubt Oscar had everyone fooled. The best part of his loss last night was seeing Bob Arum in the interview at the end. This fight was personnal between Top Rank and Golden Boy Promotions. From here on in it's gonna fall apart for The Golden Boy. It was worth the 40 million no doubt. But any fight he takes from here on in nobody is going to believe he can win. He has three fights left. Against Trinidad, Roy Jones, and a rubber match against Mosley. Like all fighters Oscar De La Hoya will continue to fight. I have been looking forward to seeing him get beaten bad and can't wait to see it happen again in the future!

As for Pacquiao, bring on Floyd Mayweather!

exactly...he is going jump on a fight w/pac for $20M, will counter punch the crap out of him like hatton.  FMW has no interest in big guys like P Williams who can punch down on him or Mosley who would force him to work and fight for 12 rds.  He could pat Marg to death for a 12rd decision.
Oh...Monica!

Mayweather would never fight Margarito.

He should have came out for the last round and took his beating like a man. Look forward to seeing him loose again soon. No doubt he will continue to fight.

That makes no sense, he already did that in the preceding rounds.

Oscar has had a great career and will be in the Boxing HOF. He has fought every big named fighter in his era for the most part and has gotten PAID doing it. being gold medalist and a pro since i believe 1992 up until now he has had a  hugely successful career. with as many shots to the head as he has taken im sure he would know the difference between "loose" and "lose"  ::)

Perhaps Oscar is done but he has nothing to be ashamed of thats for sure, every fighter/athlete gets old its funny to see people bash them when they do like it erases their past accomplishments. they busted their ass to get to the level their at and they can end their career however they choose.

Not a chance in hell Margarito by early round KO

Margarito seems too big for a welterweight. I don't know how he keeps making weight.

That wasn't Oscar in the ring. That was a shadow of himself. And for Oscar to take those shots and keeps his legs and not buckle shows he's one tough dude.
I love how some people said he was picking on a smaller man. He knowingly went in fighting the P4P best and there's a reason for that title -- manny is no joke nor has ever been. The dude is a killer, and obviously for a great fighter well past his prime makes for a dangerous match up. I thought Oscar was nuts when I first heard he chose to fight him
