i think weight classes are fine to turn pro and keeps bbing from really flaming out,smaller weight classes fill up with more competitiors dur to weight restrictions if and when they turn pro then one can try if they will to gain size needed to compete a s a pro,with that i must say that with increase in diet and supplementation natural and unnnatural u see bbers at say a height of 5'6 compete as lightweight ripped to the bone,a more muscular sized middle,lightheavy ,and 5'6 built like a tank heavyweight,that all depends on the structure,mass,and how the muscle is distributed on that 5'6 frame ,thats what makes bbing unique .i used that height as example,theres 5'4 lightheavies and heavyweights now,back in the 80's those guys that height were lightweights ripped but weighed 154 lbs not anymore,aau stuck by height classes that's were u saw guys being outweighed in there height class but it did make it interesting.
