Q: What do you do if you wake up in the night and your TV is floating?
A: Tell the negro to drop it.

 ;D

P.S. It's just a joke.

Yep, it's haunted...

1) You want to explain (out loud) that you realize something may have happened in his life that was unfortunate, and that he didn't deserve, and that you understand this.

2) Tell him it's time to move on now, that the past is the past and can not be changed, and that the sooner he moves on, the better it will be for everyone.

3) Tell him it's time to rest now and explain that you would deeply appreciate it if he would leave you to live your life so that you can live your life and rest as well.

4) Then tell him thanks.

[Say it all sincerely, politely, with sympathy, and out loud. Good luck. Your sincerity will determine your "luck."  ;)

As long as you let them know they're there and ask them to leave you alone it should work. It is intention that has the power.  ;)

That's why I'm emphasizing sincerity. It wouldn't even be a bad idea to write a script for those steps, then say (even read) it out loud. You just have to feel like you mean it as you say it.
