Low Calorie, High Protein, Low Fat Diet
« on: December 10, 2008, 08:11:58 PM »
Need some help here from someone knowledgeable but definitely not radical.

I'm trying to set up a high protein, low cal, low fat diet with only three (3) meals a day with the daily calories totaling !,500 or less.

Can anyone provide the optimum diet that would provide the highest amount of protein and minimal caloric intake?

Presently worked up a diet consisting of 1,420 total calories, 125.2 carbs, and 102 grams of protein spread over the three meals.

Would like to increase the protein count with little or no additions to the calories.

Any better suggestions for one day's three meals?

Thanks.

Thanks, Tbom. Doesn't sound too appetizing.

Go 4, we actually used to follow that diet in the day but back then there was no such thing as tuna in the water in the can. It only came with the oil in the can for some reason, so we'd take the tuna out of the can and wrap it in a nylon sock and wring out all the oil until is had the consistency and dryness of saw-dust. The most ripped up dude in California stayed on that diet for a good long while and managed to win those titles they used to hold in the old outdoor theater at Venice Beach.

I wish I could recall that guy's name. When he worked up a sweat in the gym he actually smelt like tuna fish.

Thanks, Go 4. Do you know anyone whose tried that tuna "diet" lately?

Thanks, Natural, that sound like a good additive.

Hey Stunt, hope all is well. I basically lived off tuna and chicken in college, too lazy to cook, and too broke to buy steak ;D, but I gotta say I always felt great and looked great when eating it, tons of energy too. Nowadays, don't really do the tuna thing all that much, I kind of just forgot about it, once I started making money, I just started eating different varieties of meats and fishes, but u can't go wrong with tuna (cheap and high in protein).

AVBG, what I got in mind is what I'm trying to find out from you guys such as the info Go 4 is passing along.

Hey Go 4, I got a great friend who has existed all the time I've known him on Bee Pollen, tuna fish, and peanut butter. I've never seen him eat anything else and he is a genius when it comes to Olympic Lifting, Powerlifting, and training for a bodybuilding contest.

He makes simple recommendations such as "Place your toes at a different angle!" and sure enough a world champion's world record increases because of of that simple observation. He has a mind that sees things differently and produces unbelievable results within the strength and bodybuilding world.

He used to train with Bill Star and that was one hell of a great combination of strength trainers to be associated with. Now he's living in a Conservation Corp Campground in Pa. that he recently purchased with only Amish families as neighbors a few miles down the road. A very colorful character who a lot of the Pros respected to the utmost in his day. He could talk your ears off about the better days of bodybuilding.

Have 12 egg whites with one yolk for breakfast.

10 oz Chicken Breast with a 1/4 head of lettuce ( salad ) for lunch.

And then repeat either meal for dinner! Or have a protein shake with 50 grams of whey.

There u go. Low fat high protein!!!!.

High protein without a substantial amount of fat?  You might as well dump that 10 lbs of powder in the toilet.
