New test that detects GH....

I saw an article in my loocal newspaper (only read the headline and a few paragraphs) that scientists have developed a blood test that detects Gh in the blood.

Anyone that can expand on this? True?

Um, makes what right?

Using GH?

Or catching the cheating?

I think it may be just a smokescreen to dissuade users from using.

What do you mean?

Each day, I plan on getting healthy.

This is a several month old pic of my arm.

Unfortunately, it is much worse now. The wound is several times larger and deeper. My docs have not been able to figure out a cure.

So, there is a plan for you.

Most probably. The test is not ready until it's proven in court, and AFAIK no one has been busted for GH yet (someone correct me if I'm wrong). It has been "ready" for close to 10 years now. The thing is that it has to be reliable enough so there are zero false positives.

they floated this rumor in 2004 and 2008 for the olympics.  always turned out to be BS.

A few weeks ago they said they were doing a second round of testing on the samples given at the recent Olympics. Said they were screening for insulin among other things. Insulin is another drug that I haven't seen any positives for. Would be interesting if someone failed for insulin.

HAHA it would funny if this was true and 95% of the athletes tested positive  ;D

Moosejay, that wound looks awful.  Have you seen a specialist?  Have they considered a skin graft to try to cover the wound?

For whatever reason, I haven't read about any tests done with athletes. The test is out there, I just don't understand why it hasn't been used yet.

The reason is simple: it has to extremely reliable, which it isn't, or hasn't been. I'm sure they can say whether an athlete has used GH with high certainty but if they can't prove in court that it can't cause false positives it's no good. Whenever the first athlete is busted he will most likely challenge the results in court and then we'll see if there actually is a workable test.
