My two gripes are this. Hamas specifically targets civilians. They don't attack Israeli military targets or important infrastructures. They are constantly trying to kill civilians. Women and children and other people who just happen to live in Israel. That is the definition of a terrorist organization.

Secondly, I can't see how an American can bitch about Israel "stealing" Palestinian land. They're most likely living on land that was stolen from Indians. If they're content with living on stolen land, then they can't tell someone else to give up their land. It makes them nothing more than hypocrites.

I don't think we should give back the land we took from the Indians, so I can't say that Israel should give back that land. It's war. The Arabs have tried twice to take back that land, and they failed miserably. Like the saying says, "In war, to the victor goes the spoils." As far as I'm concerned, the Arabs have about as "claim" to that land as the Indians do to America. Not even going to get into the fact that the Jews were in that land before Islam even existed.

You get the situation pretty good, but I only have on remark on the wars, Israel had no problems with the borders but the Arabs attacked and lost, now they want their land back, land that is mostly used as buffer zones to protect from missile/artillery range of Syria/Lebanon/etc.

Seriously...it's like someone going to the casino and crying that he lost his money and wants it's back lol......if you play be prepped to suffer the consequences.

I think Dubai is at least trying to move beyond oil and the backward culture of the ME.  The others are still in the dark ages and seem content to stay there.

Dubai has estimated that they have roughly 20 years worth of oil left. They've been taking the steps to diversify their industries and are working towards becoming the financial hub of the Middle East. They've been becoming more moderate with respect to Sharia Law and are hoping that they can lure the big banks and other companies there. They'll probably be the only middle east country that doesn't resort to trying to kill the rest when the oil runs out and they're reduced to exporting massive quantities of sand.

The Saudis are the main sponsor of Hamas AND at the same time, is considered an ally with USA because of their long friendship with the Bush family.

Just to give you an example of how good connections the Saudis have with the USA - their air force is filled with US made F-15's and bombs.

At the same time their princes send money to Hamas and other extremists around the world, funding Muslim extremism and terrorism.

They also fund extremist madrasahs around the world, spreading the extremist version of Islam that is wahabbism.

So the Saudi's, with the good cooperation of the Bush administration, have been fueling the war between Palestinians and Israelis.
