I put a gym in my garage.It cost me some money but it was used gear from a gym.I have a monolift,power rack,forza bench,texas squat bar,cambered squat bar,leg ext,leg curl,seated leg curl,reverse hyper,45 degree hyper,cybex leg press,deadlift platform,incline bench,utility benches,preacher curl,dumbells from 20-150,1200lbs of weights,all kinds of bars,lat machine,deadlift bar,etc.
In my opinion, unless your training at a really good gym, with really good guys, home gyms are the way to go.I could not bare the thought of training at a place where there is no chalk,no dropping weights, where they discourage people from using real weights.Back in the 80s every gym was a hardcore facility with tons of bodybuilders and powerlifters. Now they are places for middle aged women and men.Sad.
