nonsense - he believes calories don't matter - i.e a clown.

the macronutirents that you eat are FAR more important than the calories.

nonsense - calories are king. it has been proven time and time again in controlled settings.

eades and his fantastic magical unsubstantiated claims have been destroyed in every single way by anthony colpo.

if you want to educate yourself, read the free ( and very very good book) that details exactly how eades has embarrassed himself, why he is wrong and what the real truth is at:

so your telling me 1,000 grams of carbs are the same thing as a 1,000 grams of protein?

there both 4,000 calories, so ur body should respond the same to both, and there should be no difference.

WRONG!! a calorie is not a calorie and its the MACROS that you take in, not the calories that really matter in the end.

And I spent four years in college getting double majoring in kinesiology and health educating myself, no need to read that article you posted  ;)

you need to go back and spend another 4 years then because calories count in terms of weight loss or gain.

you metabolic advantage crowd are all the same - i used to be too, untill i read the science.

you are clutching at straws, with your 1000g of carbs vs 1000g of protein comment - always the last hope of a dying argument.

on maintenence if you add 1000g of carbs or protein the result will be the same - weight gain.

on maintenence if you remove 1000g of carbs or protein the result will be the same - weight loss.

this is fact.

See that's why the book is so interesting.  There is a ton of information about the history of nutrition in bodybuilding.  A lot more than most people realize or even have a clue about.  There are some boring parts in the book.  I'm in the chapters of the formation of the AAU/IFBB and talks about Weider, Hoffman and Dan Lurie.  It's dry but most would find the material interesting.

I just got the chance to read the first 75 pages and i am so bored but i am hoping that this book takes a big turn.

Do you know when Volume 2 is coming out?

I don't remember the first 75 pages but it ebbs and flows.  Has it talked about Price/Pottenger?  The Hunza?  The Eskimos?  I found that part pretty interesting.  The last half of the book is the best part I think.  I don't know what you expect.  I mean afterall it is nutrition and history.

I found the Hunza, Eskimo, Price/Pottenger parts very interesting.  The Iron Game I feel is kind of boring but you might like it.  Part II should be out next fall.

This has to be the best book out of all time and Randy deserves all the credit in the world for Volume one and i am "Pumped" for Volume Two. Thanks MuscleMcMannus for the Recommendation!! I would go ahead and pre order Volume Two but i will have to wait. Tell Randy that is the best book on the History of Bodybuilding/Nutrution and the many philosophies of many different Bodybuilders.

What is the Best book on Nutrution and meals? I have the best book on bodybuilding; Arnolds Encyclopedia of Modern day Bodybuilding but has anyone read any books on nutrution other then in college. I thought about looking at some of Chris Acetos books but would like some input before i start choosing which one would be the "best" one.

Nutrition:

Championship Bodybuilding: Chris Aceto's Instruction Book For Bodybuilding
