if joint size is so important to bodybuilders why dont they have their elbows shaved down. Probably could do it surgically, like this guy if the points on his elbows weren't so big is arms would look huge.

This physique clearly illustrates that you you can slap muscle on your frame with loads of roids, Gh, and insulin and still look terrible. There are literally tons of guys out there now that have this look.  If you don't have an eye for what a good physique is, then you won't notice the  thick waist, oddly shaped arms, the weak forearms, weak chest, lack of v-taper. A guy like Bob Paris, in my opinion, looks a thousand times better than this.

its nothing to do with genetics (the comment that is).

i cant recall anyone claiming that gear altered, or adjusted, or enhanced genetics.  size and conditioning- sure...but genetics- nope.
