Anyone traveled to Vegas yet this year?

I was about to book at New York/New York when I noticed the following:

Effective 1/1/09, NYNY will institute a daily phone fee. A mandatory charge of $3.00 per room, per day will be collected from all guests upon individual arrival for unlimited local and toll free calls, use of calling cards, and collect calls.

I know times are tough on the Strip right now, but I'd rather they simply charged me $3 more for the room and not tell me that it was some bullshit fee. 

People are still going to come to Vegas, but they really need to re-think their position on this one.

you should travel in europe thats expensive

i wouldnt know, last time i checked in on a hotel it was 250 dollars per night

they do they are running a 69 dollar special for some hotel outside of vegas including free tickets to the Village People.  Its already sold out.

The Orleans had such a fee this year during the Olympia, too.
