I work for myself buddy. I have never collected a welfare check, an unemployment chech, wic stamp, section 8 subsidy, etc. I have zero sympathy for the welfare mentality that exists in this state, whether it be from the public unions, the illegal aliens, etc.
How is a union part of the welfare program? I mean, there is a clear cut exchange of labor for cash. Same with illegal aliens. Wouldn't it safe to say that the money these people forgo (wage-wise and when compare with a "legal"
gringo) more than covers all the money our society has to return to them in the form of public education or free medical care?
I have lived in this state my whole life and know all too well what goes on here, while people like yourself in your little 99% self segregated white hamlet of Chappaqua live in a bubble. Why dont you go down to Brighton Beach and see how good the illegal alien russians are spending your money?
?
I do have an issue with all these hasidic sons of bitches having 15 kids and me having to finance their sorry arse... but that is a drop in the ocean. The immense majority of immigrants come here to work their asses off.
Westchester is the highest taxed nation in the country and that is obviously not enough for you.
Well, that's because you look at it that way. I look at it as an exchange between money and peace and quiet/high-quality education for my kids.
BTW - your post is nonsense since the cost of doing business in this state is so high for other taxes that businesses have to pay, whether it be insane property taxes or workers comp costs that are crippling.
Well, like I said, if you're experience here is not that good then maybe you should consider moving somewhere else. A friend of mine owns a bar in Mt Kisco and complains about the very same things you do. He has 3 illegal aliens working in the back frying them buffalo wings and onion rings and 4 legal aliens serving the clients. He is always complaining about the taxes and the employee costs, etc. Bottom line is he owns a huge house in Pleasantville (on the road coming in from Thornwood,) drives around in a Maserati and travels often. You know, at this point that complaint story I just don't believe it.
And- genius, if you tax businesses more, who do you think suffers?

I'm not talking about small-medium size businesses, I'm talking about the Chases and Citibanks of this world. The very same companies that get their building built by the tax payers and then they elope to another state and rent the building out.
The consumer with higher costs and the employees with lower salaries.
I love your story. If the burden of increased costs always falls on the workers and the consumer... what is it exactly that you are complaining about? I mean, your bread is getting buttered, your pockets lined with big Gs... What is your "beef" with? Property taxes?
If you ever ran a business you would understand this.
Yeah, I know. Make up your mind and decide to do something with your life. Complaining ain't gonna get you far.
