I wonder if Joe Biden realizes that nobody really gives a shit about him?

I'm watching CNN at the moment, i wish they'd stop mentioning "first african american president" etc etc

PLEASE tell me that this election was more than just about the color on one's skin. Is America really that shallow?

CNN was interview students that was standing on the street about what issues they wanted Obama to deal with first. The students were all excited to mention about how long they waited there, how they're a part of history with the swearing in of the first black president, but were hard pressed to mention an issue. One of the students finally said "education?.........i'd like to see him deal with education......and with the education issue........"

Wolf Blitzer just pointed out that he's getting emails from people saying only 43 people have taken the oath, with cleveland counting as 2.

It is important because the USA in the 50's and 60's still was a country where racism was overt and in some occasions still institutionalized. It means that in those 50 years the USA has come a long way.

Obama did not win by being a 'token' black guy, he won because he is an inspiration and managed to gain a momentum, a momentum that the USA will very much need.
