jerry lawler suspended by wwe for beating up his 27 year old girl friend in memphis. i think his wwe career is over.... funny how they get rid of lawler and hogan for saying the n word.... yet stone cold steve austin who beat up debra mac is still a beloved legend.

Wasn't too long of a suspension - he is on Smackdown tonight - they just announced Orton will wrestle Lesnar at SummerSlam - Hmmm...

Lawler's charges were dropped so he was reinstated.

From cagesideseats.com

Apparently, Vince McMahon was souring on Roman Reigns even before his Wellness violation. With that, there are others backstage lobbying his push should go to someone else - and Vince is listening.

One possible recipient could be AJ Styles, who a source says Vince has been telling people he wishes he’d signed ten years ago. AJ and Seth Rollins are viewed as frontrunners to headline each brand after the draft.

Plans still call for a huge Finn Balor push when his call-up comes, but since he’s a "Triple H guy" there’s some worry McMahon could sour on him quickly, a la Apollo Crews.

Several contracts will be up this Summer, and reports say Triple H is lowballing undercard guys, believing he can easily replace them from NXT

While there are no indications the McMahons are looking to sell, the UFC deal did raise the issue. Several sources estimated the value of WWE in the mid-$3 billion dollar range, should Vince change his mind.

I can't see Vince ever selling his company.
WWE is his baby, pride, passion, alter ego, legacy, and utopia.

Maybe I'm wrong.
I just see him running it until he is no longer capable health-wise, and then passing it down within the family. But, I expect a McMahon will always own that company.

Cornette went off on a huge tirade on one of his shows how WWE suspended Lawler without even waiting for the outcome. Lawler has been with the company for 20 yrs and instead of WWE standing behind him, went right into suspension mode. Corny said is he was Lawler he would have told WWE to "f" off and thanks for standing behind me...

Current plans call for Finn Bálor to upset Seth Rollins at SummerSlam to become the first WWE Universal champion. Both Vince McMahon & Triple H are backing him for the spot.

Unsuprisingly, the same reports predicting a Bálor win say they'll be making Raw's Universal belt the top prize in the company, with SmackDown's WWE World title losing some luster.

Do they risk the fans turning on him because they're pushing him so fast?  Or is it he's so wildly popular from NXT that it makes no difference?

Heard it was because he was a little too candid in a facebook q&a interview. WWE didn't like some of his opinions.

This should be a great match with the fans being torn who to cheer for...

Fans won't turn on people they feel like they had a hand in building. No matter, how deluded they are. Indy darlings will never get booed, because needy and delusional fans feel like they are the reason for any success they got.
