The PROBLEM I see in this thread is that people tend to want the drugs that they use legal but the drugs that they have never used or know nothing about to remain illegal.
LSD is in fact non-toxic and the only harm from it is due to accidents occuring from it. It has a lot of potential for psychological or psychotherapy uses. It increases insight and can induce religious experiencs in people. All of this and it should be illegal...Why? Because some people might abuse it and cause accidents while using it?
Coca leaves are in fact quite mild compared to Cocaine. The ancient INCAs have been using it for literally centuries before Europeans ever came. They chewed it or brewed it into coffee to improve their mood, give them energy, etc. The addiction rate for Coca chewing is essentially nil, and you don't see any Incan crackheads.
Poppy is already used and, while being illegal, is almost never enforced. Opium Poppy is grown for cooking and decorations, and any opium produced from it is generally very mild compared to synthesized or purified forms such as Morphine.
Psychoactive plants would include Coffee, Ephedra, Betel nut, Ephedra, Khat, Tobacco, Kava Kava, Guarana (used in many energy drinks), Salvia Divinorum, Etc. NONE of these plants have any real harmful effects except for Tobacco. People generally get paranoid when the word "Psychoactive" is brought up but this is only because they are ignorant of its meaning. Essentially ALL psychoactive plants have little harmful side effects and small potential for abuse if used as they are.
HGH should be available to anyone as long as a doctor is present. Medical or not. Same with Steroids.
Remember...People have the right to put WHATEVER they want into their bodies as long as it does not NECESSARILY harm anyone else. The fact that it "might" cause harm for bystanders is not a just cause to rob people of their free will to ingest whatever they want however they want.
Ab abusu ad usum non valet consequentia!
Inferences regarding something's use from its misuse are invalid. Rights abused are still rights.
