MY HERO
« on: February 02, 2009, 07:15:52 PM »
What was 56% of America thinking when they voted  this clown to be President?
Now people are seeing the truth and his popularity went from 80% down now to 55%
Great leaders he's picked in his cabinet, lets see is it 2 or 3 of them who haven't paid
their taxes and one of them was making $80.000 a month but he still put them in the cabinet
I guess the media and you obama fans have created a star for your President.
Wake up America we have enough stars in the country what we need is someone who
can run the damm country not some one who never even ran a business or antything else.
He's winging it and taking advice from total lieing and cheating assholes who just want to keep
their pockets full and not pay taxes. What would happen to you or me if we did't pay the
$120.000 to the IRS? We would go to jail not get a chair in the cabinet.
And now he's going to spend a Trillon dollars on worthless bullshit, what the fuc...
Some of you fuc...s just don't get it.  My hero O BUM A !!

Hugo Dispite or differances i think obuma is full of it or plain stupid if he thinks this spending of
1 Trillion dollars is going to help the economy. Hugo where do you think the money is coming from?
Your pocket and mine and guess what we are paying for, well Six hundred million is going for new cars
for the Federal goverment and 50 million is going to awarness of STD's only about 20% of the money
might help the economy. How about give me 600 million and i will buy everyone a car.
Hugo even some democrates are having second thoughts. Try watching both sides of this
like CNBC and FOX news. What they should really do is give the people $100.000 each and we will put it back in the economy, the people are who makes up the economy so Hugo tell me you would be against that plan??

LMAO - you are pretty wrong dude.

Yahoo said he's actually getting slightly more popular, according to gallup.

Obama's job performance drew 67 percent approval in the poll results published Sunday, a rolling average of three days of polling among 1,600 adults nationwide. This was exactly the same figure as the previous Monday -- even though the week saw the Democratic-controlled House pass a massive economic stimulus bill without a single Republican vote, and former Sen. Tom Daschle, seeking confirmation to be Obama's secretary of Health and Human Services, became the latest Cabinet appointee to fess up that he had made a large payment to cover back taxes.

When he was running for president it was all about the people right, so lets stop giving the CEO's and the rich
the money and give it to the people who will put it back into the economy and pay Cr. cards, morgage payments
and funnel some back into the economy. If we are able to spend money and pay these companies who are getting the bail outs
then they would't need to be bailed out. Think about it if the people can't afford to make payments to these companies then
next year they will be asking for another bail out at our exspense. Don't the people make the economy work? their bailing out
these companies but the compaines are laying thousands off.
So i ask you would you agree on the goverment giving every U.S citizen a Hundred Thousand dollars ?
Most of us would put it back into the economy by shopping, paying bills and so on, why not try it.
But i guess non of you would be for it? So let give it to the greedy CEO's and they can take their Four Hundred Thousand dollar
mini vacations or buy a 54 million dollar lear jet. I'm with you guys but it's time to try something different. CHANGE

I think most people are looking at congress as the bad guy right now, not Obama.  I agree, but if Obama doesn't check his own party, he will be seen as weak and his numbers will decrease some (at least with the people that understand politics).  I can't understand how many people aren't considering what 1 trillion dollars will do to our deficit and how much bullshit is in this bill.  Appauling.

Many people voted this year on emotion, which is a historical mistake.  They will see that washington is complex and they change they expected will be different than expected.  Many people voted this year that don't understand how our government works, thus will be dissapointed.  The republicans did not offer a great candidate (I respect McCain greatly but he was not the strongest IMO, neither was Palin).

Poll: Two out of three give Pres. Obama a thumbs-up
Posted: 11:13 AM ET

From CNN Deputy Political Director Paul Steinhauser

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Two weeks into his presidency, a new national poll suggests that nearly two thirds of Americans approve of the job Barack Obama's doing so far in the White House.

Sxity-four percent of those questioned in a new Gallup/USA Today survey say they approve of how President Obama is handling his job, with 25 percent disapproving and 11 percent unsure.

"A 64 percent rating is fairly high for a presidential approval rating, but it is nothing compared to the 84 percent rating Obama was getting in early January when he was still the president-elect," said CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.

"Previous presidents have also seen a drop in their approval ratings once they move into the White House. President-elect George W. Bush had a 65 percent approval rating before he was inaugurated, but by February of 2001 that had gone down to 57 percent. President-elect Bill Clinton got a 67 percent rating for how he handled his transition, but that number went down to 51 percent by February of 1993. Honeymoons start to fade the moment a new president puts his hand on the Bible, and Obama is no exception," adds Holland.

Sixty-three percent of those questioned in the poll say they think President Obama is moving about right in addressing the major problems facing the country today, with 22 percent indicating they think Obama's moving too fast and 10 percent saying he's not moving fast enough.

Three out of four polled say they want Congress to pass some version of President Obama's economic stimulus package. But Americans seem to be split on whether the plan should be passed with or without significant changes.

The Gallup/USA Today poll was conducted January 30-February 1, with 1,027 people questioned by telephone. The survey's sampling error is plus or minus 3 percentage points.

I found it, jimi managed on finding the lowest approval rating.  It's from Democracy Corps (D)
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_obama_job_approval-1044.html#polls

So when I go to look at that poll, it looks to be misrepresented some, here's from that poll:

Quote
the wake of his inauguration, Obama boasts his strongest personal ratings yet, now enjoying a better than 3:1 favorable-unfavorable ratio nationally. More important, since the election Obama has seen his ratings on a number of key attributes skyrocket. Over 70 percent of voters now describe the president as honest and trustworthy, and three-quarters say he is a strong leader. While Obama’s outreach to Republicans may not have generated any Republican votes on his economic plan in the House, it is clearly cementing his reputation as a bipartisan problem solver; an astounding 80 percent of voters, including 56 percent of Republicans, say Obama is willing to work with both parties.

Obama’s standing is nearly as strong in the conservative-leaning, but Democratic-held Congressional districts that are likely to make up the 2010 battleground. In the 40-most vulnerable Democratic-held seats, a battleground George Bush carried by 13 points in 2004, Obama’s personal standing is nearly as strong as it is nationally, with 59 percent rating him favorably against just 20 percent unfavorably. And 70 percent of battleground voters say they support Obama’s policies and goals for the country, virtually the same level of support he receives nationally.

With about a third of Republicans backing Obama’s policies and goals, it is not surprising that Obama is doing as well in these Republican-leaning areas – his poll results here parallel his high national numbers.

This report is based on a national survey of 1,000 likely voters conducted January 26-29, and a survey of 1,200 likely voters in the 40 most-vulnerable Democratic-held congressional seats conducted January 14-19.
http://www.democracycorps.com/download.php?attachment=bg10011909fq1sperling.pdf

NOTE: IN THIS POLL, THE DISAPPROVAL IS ONLY 18 PERCENT.  likening approval of a president in preparation to take office vs. in office is stupid.  people were judging preparation and words, now it's time to judge action and as we can see a lot of people are holding back and watching before approving or disapproving.  With the number holding back, these are pretty high approval numbers!!!  So for jimi and others to grab that number and go ah-ha! IS SPIN!!!  They intentionally skip facts to spin the number.
