See Quaker, these are the guys I was telling you about, I am sure he knows his shit but that above quote was like reading the Egyptian hieroglyphics.

lol.

I'm not just someone who reads stats and doesn't watch the games.  There's a lot of other stuff that goes on that's not recorded in the numbers.

I guess what I was trying to say is that the media and fans fall in love with stats that might not be the best indicators of whether a player is good or not.  RBIs is a good one.  Yes, the best players get a lot of them.   But RBIs are also largely the product of opportunity, meaning guys who don't have other players getting on base for them won't have as many RBIs as those who do.    A guy hitting in Coors is going to have better power numbers than an equal player playing in San Diego.  Just stuff like that.

Another defeated McCain supporter who cries himself to sleep every night.  ;D
Kill yourself.

Wow.  You actually posted one of your own thoughts.  What's the matter, you couldn't find a link to an article that did it for you?

And, for the record, I always said I disliked McCain.

I worked out at the same gym A-rod worked out in back in the early 90's, Paradise Gym in Coral Gables, FL.  A-rod was a real sissy in the gym.  Alfonso Martinez trained him back then and he would struggle with a 45 on each side of the leg press and he'd whine like a little girl when the lactic acid built up, quitting his sets and crying for "no more".

Oh yeah, I didn't mean any disrespect.

If I am flipping through the channels and I hear a few sports reporters making arguments for a player getting in the HOF or not, I generally stop and actually watch because it is pretty fascinating to hear them all make their points in the manner that they do.

That is saying alot because the only sports I stop to watch nowadays are boxing and football...and the triple crown if I can catch it.

Oh, none taken.

Sports reporters are a goofy bunch.  They try come across like experts, but if you really listen, they're all just big fans with the same biases.

I'm sure it makes you feel good to think people who voted against Obama feel this way, but it's not the case with me.  I want him now deliver on all the good he's promised.

Have you seen me posting on the internet venting about it?  Nope, you're wrong once more.  Try again, dummy.

I'll give you time to google and visit the Huffington Post so you know how you feel.

Looks like someone is so obsessed over my political views that they were willing to derail a thread in order to "confront" me. I'm so far in your head you'll need a neurosurgeon to get me out.  ;D

Funny thing is, I never even heard of "Grape Ape". What a name...hahaha, oh brother.  ::)

Not a surprise at all. If I've said once I'll say it a million times, at least 70% or more in the MLB (or almost any sport) are on something.

Exactly.

Another tainted player.....baseball needs to just accept it and move on. The drugs aren't going anywhere, as long as theses guys are making fortunes to play a kids game.
HAHA, RON.....
