I don't have confidence in the plan either.
It seems like a hastily-crafted, generic band-aid that'll only slow down the bleeding for so long.
I just don't believe that you spend your way out of a recession this deep.
If we were building a new infrastructure for whatever America's 'next energy' is, I would be ALL for it...BUT WE DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT IS YET...BECAUSE WE HAVEN'T DONE THE RESEARCH. I hate to yell, but that's the truth.
"We're going to retrofit all these old buildings, because it's the smart thing to do" is just stupid, IMO. The buildings he's talking about are fine as is. This whole notion that we'll spend $100 billion now to save $200 billion over the next 30 years is ridiculous.
