Why the "both hands over grip"?

Hook grip. Hurts like a guy but its solid and easier on the shoulders to lockout.

a hook grip is a double overhand grip where you "lock" your thumb between your index and middle fingers.

for a more secure grip instead of using either straps, an over/under grip or a double overhand grip, some lifters swear by it, i think that Chris Mason guy uses one and he pulls around 700 with it.

my grip is fine atm however no way in hell am i approaching weight near what he is so my grip would be ok.

i remember chris mason posting a front relaxed pic. guy looks great. his protein is good too

only thing I agree with you on. The man is a freakin idiot for doing this, I would only do it if I was getting paid 50,000 plus a year to risk injury like this tool.

Eventually your hands are going to get messed up one way or the other.

First one is me. I was doing hook grip and it pulled on my nail enough that my finger started to bleed. Second one was my coach and he ripped his hand open with over/under grip.

He's natural. I'm close to him in strength and got the vids on here to prove it and was only weighing 213 on the lifts i did. Also I did those lifts while dieting and not bulking up. He's a strong guy and it takes years to get to that on a natural level, trust me I know. Now if he's natural when competing...? Who knows? Either way a hard worker and much props for that.

who cares about your hands the hook grip will almost completely eliminate the danger of a torn bicep that comes with the over/under grip
