Goudy you should read the book "The Irish Origins of Civilization" by Michael Tsarion.  You'd enjoy it.  Great read!

I'd be afraid the welds on that leg press would break causing it to cut me in half.  :o
ya agreed, i was gonna say that leg press doesnt look safe at all, reminds me of the leg press machines they have at Usa gym in Bridgeview,IL.

here in canada i see old machines and free weights looking exactly like the stuff in your gym (from the 60/70'S) going on classified ads websites for almost nothing. I got an old sited calf raise machine and plates for very cheap.

I am natural my friend.

Cheers Mars

Gym is great. Arnie trained there in 1968/9 i believe.

Haha the weights and equitment were built in Harland & Wolffe, where the titanic was built, handmade 50years ago.

If they were gonna snap they should have snapped by now lol...but yes i was leg pressing today and had to do it in socks as the platform you press your feet with was moist with dew and was slippy lol
maybe staple gun an old towel or piece of scrap carpet to the foot plate would help with the dew...

That looks like the gym I used to train at, no machines, no fancy electric gizmo's, just shitloads of metal handmade years ago.  I miss training at that place.  Although it was never as messy as that.  There was some weird guy who used to come in and he never worked out, he'd just put all the plates and dumbells back in place for a few hours then leave.

Sweet gym right there.

Just make sure you have all your shots, Goudy. Those weights look pretty rusty.
