Are you serious?  Ron Paul wants states to have their rights back.  The federal government didn't have power like it does today until around the 30's and for the most part things were going pretty well.

 a principled philosopher who debates the laws and policies with a sense of empathy for every argument and all political principles and a sense of 'the role of government'.

Sooner or later in a republic the people begin voting for what's best for themselves instead of what's best for there country, we have this now; people are wanting to kill the American dream and our economy at the same time via voting for socialistic programs to pay lazy losers who don't want to get a job and want free cell phones, free rent, free food, etc. until our economy is completely dried up.  What happened to work hard and provide for your family?

With Socialism sooner or later the heads of the social group line their pockets with money and let their subjects starve until revolt.

The only forms of government with any staying power are Monarchies and Theocracies.  

In a Monarchy if the people revolt, the royal family gets replaced by some other line of succession by the heads of state.  In a Theocracy no one would rebel against there God.
