Only if that "less" you speak of was enough to stimulate muscle growth.

Personally I disagree.  I have to hit them hard or they don't grow.  I don't do too many sets (around 10 per muscle group) but I do it in two giant sets.  This seems to have gotten me past a sticking point.
It hasn't helped...

This is confusing. You can hit them hard with any number of sets.

I agree.  we are doing a lot of rest pause training now " DC attempt ".  after a heavy rest pause set of close grip's and BB curls, my arms are pretty much toast.  All from 3 mini sets in one RP set.

I agree with you. 10 sets max. I am in and out of the gym in an hour.... or less(45 minutes). I like to superset the arms. Close grip ez bar for tris...... then alternate db curls for bis. Overhead db ext. for tris then concentration curls for bis. I then finish with either hammer curls for bis and one arm cable pushdowns for tris or dips for tris and hammer rope for bis. Quick, intense, in and out..... and get home to recuperate. Less is better.
