Just posted this on the Y, but felt it worthy of the G&O as well.

This may be old news, but I just heard it on the radio. Apparently Chris was receiving steroid injections for his throat due to strain from singing and they claim the injections caused roid rage which flared his temper so badly he beat up his girlfriend.

Guess I better be nice to my 83-yr old grandmother....she just got a steroid shot in her knee last week.

Mystery Woman in Brown/Rihanna Case Revealed

TMZ knows who triggered the fight that left Rihanna battered and bruised and Chris Brown an accused felon -- it's Brown's manager.

Sources tell us the woman who left the three-page text message on Brown's cell phone is Tina Davis. Davis -- who turns 40 this month -- was rumored to have had a relationship with Brown when he was 16. Brown and Davis have denied it.

Law enforcement tells us the text message to Brown talked about hooking up later -- and it totally pissed off Rihanna. She slapped and hit him and he then brutally fired back.

The detective's affidavit refers to the text message as being "from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with."

Davis could not be reached for comment.

So, Rhianna actually started the physical fight? It doesn't excuse Brown because what he did was horrible but women just don't get it...they hit a guy and the guy hits back, they get hurt, and its the guy's fault. No one should be hitting anyone in a relationship! I'd like to hear this message in the media. There's been all this talk about men who abuse but no talk about women who actually start the physical aspect of the fight. That is just as wrong.

I don't condone hitting a woman, but man I get sick of chicks hiding behind their gender as an excuse to start throwing punches at guys. Guys have tempers, too, and there will eventually be a guy who will have their breaking point crossed. And when that happens, what do these chicks expect?
Being a woman doesn't mean your actions are without consequences at some point.

We're told Brown's people have consulted with outside legal eagles -- including law school professors -- who have said Rihanna's own aggressiveness takes it out of the felony category. Sources say Rihanna was the first one to strike -- slapping and striking Brown "numerous times" while he was driving, after seeing the text message from another woman. And Rihanna was fighting Brown as he punched and hurt her. We're told much of this is reflected in the official police report based on what Rihanna told cops. As a result, they say, this is not a case that demands a felony plea.

Although I'm a bit confused because the official police affidavit mentions none of this...but TMZ is so Pro-Rihanna on this that I'm taking their word on the "her hitting him first" thing because they surely wouldn't have mentioned it had they not done so in the interest of being accurate. I'm just gonna assume that cops on the scene spun it strictly in her favor given the fact that he'd fled and her ass was beat.

He was either taking an oral spray which may have been anabolic, or an injection which is a corticosteroid. Orals are usually NOT androgenic from what I heard from a singer, because that can fuck up your voice. I've heard of ANABOLIC sprays which help you to sing but again, there is little to no androgenic activity. I don't know what steroids are in the sprays but it can't be enough to make you roid rage for Christ sakes. If you're man enough to juice, you're man enough to contain your emotions and not melt down like a tiny tit and hit a girl. Fucking Chris Brown. I'd love to stomp his teeth in.
