When were you there ?

I found Ghana, Togo, Senegal and Cote d'Ivoire to be great places. Spent about half a year in West Africa in the early nineties. If you have local friends in a country, you tend to have a great time because they take you around.

If you don't know anybody, places become less fun, unless they have a well developed tourist infrastructure (Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa).
Benin was the only country I visited without knowing anybody there, and I hated it - although I'm sure it is not worse.

Didn't know that, only been the Bruges and surrounding area. Remind me never to go to Brussels then. Not in the mood to see more negroes. Trying to get away from them here in London as it is.

haven't seen anyone mention puerto rico... its a fucking dump and a half.  the old fort was an awesome piece of history and the place I stayed at was nice but as soon as you are off private property the place turns to slum.  the people are rude as fuck and smell like shit as well.

you are able to drink in the hotel bar till 2am. if you are a hotel resident that is.

i loved London and Cambridge. as the latter is a more calm and quiet version of London.

 But if you hate because the way they treat you. one of the reasons could be. where you come from.

 Funny  story. I lived  in France for a long time. and i don't speak french. but i was speaking English. to communicate with people.
 And they look at me with a weird face. but after they notice my " very good English".  ;)
 They ask me if i was American. i said no. I'm Brazilian. and than they start treat me very good.
 And i notice that was happening to every place that I've been.
 I'm not saying that we are better than Americans. please don't get me wrong.

Both of these are very wrong.
 However I'd say Zambia, Namibia, and maybe some parts of South Africa such as Cape town and some of the game reserves there such as Kruger Park  are worth visiting.
