I dont believe in ANY income taxes.I believe in sales taxes.I think income taxes are against the constitution.So,no,I dont think those making uner 100,00 should pay taxes or over should pay taxes.Then Again,ythe only thing I want from the government is to protect our safety[foreign and domestic]and fix infastructure and maybe PUBLIC EDUCATION,OR MAYBE NOT.

B Palin could have rejected the EIC this year, citing the fact it only comes to poor people with kids, not everyone. It's welfare - repubs criticized the shit out of it when Reagan created it and called it socialism. it's essentially money for poor ppl who have kids. i think the cutoff is actually 38k or something. I don't get it because we make more than that. it's crap that someone like palin gets the free $ hookup, and most of us do not, because we go to work every day instead of hanging out chillin.

Ok,so the kid got knocked up.Millions do it everyday.In fact Id be willing to bet money that at least 60% of democratic voters are people that either had kids out of wedlock or are kids that were born out of wedlock.In fact,I believe the story is Obama was born out of wedlock.The idea that its an outrage because it happened to a conservative who preaches abstinence is silly.

The way it relates to Gore is this.His goofball wife and him were in charge of the PMRC.They wanted a ban on music that touted the use of drugs and drinking.Their kid turned out to be a drug addict.If you cant see the similarity,then your even more blind then I thought.Shit happens,parents do the best they can,in the end its up to the kid what they do.Do you do everything your parents told you to or avoid everything they told you to avoid.Why would Palin be any different?

Good points. Anyone who raises (or has raised kids) knows that all you can do is teach them, set boundaries, and set a good example, but at the end of the day the kids make their own choices as they become adults.

Bickering is pointless. Teen pregnancy is a part of society. Regardless if it occurs in a dem or rep family, there is often negative consequences and both sides have a responsibility to publicize the dangers of teenage pregnancy to the mother, the child, and the tax payor. It is ironic that teenage pregnancy happens in a family that preaches family values but it happens. They still have every right, and responsibility to promote family values and warn against the hardship of teenage pregnancy.

Interestingly, I was at a conference last week and met two ladies from Alaska. Four of us went to lunch, the two from Alaska, a doc from South side Chicago and myself. The Chicago doc asked them what they thought of Palin. Both said they loved her and she has done great things for the state. They said that was a majority consensus from where they lived. He then asked if they thought she was qualified to become VP....they were less convinced but said she did such a great job as gov that they believed in her. Interesting to get their perspectives.
The Chicago doc didn't agree about her being well qualified (same with me). He also said Chicago politics is every bit as bad as we hear, and then some. He said the mayor and most of the politicians are corrupt and its cut-throat but he said they have all the power and are unlikely to be voted out because there is a big network. I think he was a centrist democrat.
