Correct. Do it whenever you can put effort into it.

Tried both using different variables (empty stomach, half can tuna, full) for different times leaning out.
I prefer the results I get from PWO cardio by far. Seems to be more effective. I was forced to do it this way due to my schedule, and I'm happy I do, because no way in hell am I waking up at midnight to get my cardio in! (I wake up at 2:30am as it is).

Just do both.  My morning cardio is best when I have half a protein shake before, then have the rest afterwards.

For PWO, do you guys have a shake first then do your cardio, or just finish weights, do the cardio then have a shake?
No doubt about it...

depends. carbs in the shake? if its protein only, have the shake, if youd like to. if its protein/carb, then id definitely wait.

I'm doing morning cardio on off days and PWO cardio on lift days.

I have 1 scoop whey in the morning year round, when i do cardio i drink all of it after.
pwo cardio i do after lifting and have the shake after cardio, carbs in the shake 40g/40g C & P

Just do both.  My morning cardio is best when I have half a protein shake before, then have the rest afterwards.

"how" is it better?

do it after your workout before your shake.

Morning/pwo -->not much different.  Plus, who wants to get up and do that.. then later on in the day go back and workout?

If I don't have anything before morning cardio I look super flat.

protein wont be used for energy and wont inhibit fat loss at all.

while amino acids levels in the blood do bump up insulin levels a little bit, it also bumps up glucogon levels too, which counteracts insulin.
