What's with hibernating for 2 years, or doing one show and quitting?
The field is so competitive these days, and you need so much size to hold your own with the judges, that a lot of guys turn pro being smaller.
When they get to the big boys, they have to put on extra size, and I guess lately most of the newbies feel that it takes two years to put on size.
Look at Trey Brewer, he bulked up extremely fast, and it only hurt him. He's a phenom to most, but a flash in the pan to me. I think his physique suffered, and will still suffer in the future due to him bulking up that fast. People were giving him props for being so heavy, but he just got fat.
The two years off, seems to be so you can save your money, buy your "supps," put weight on slowly and then hopefully still be competitive enough with the big guys if anyone else still remembers your name.
