I am sure those dogs enjoy their life where they are forced to compete. ::)
They do.  You should see them on a fun run.  Total myth that they are not treated well. Go visit any track in the United States and you can see for yourself.

Also, many dogs never are qualified to run if they are slow.  These dogs are not forced to do anything they don`t want to do.  Furthermore, an abused dog of any kind would never bother running.

I've driven twin turbo powered cars and supercharged , if heat is a problem with you , you'd be better off with intercooled turbos ... I like the instant power of a supercharger however turbo technology has improved so much lag is almost nonexistent , it's a matter of preference and driving style

cool, imagine this. i'm doing a full throttle on a dusty road, the car is skidding but is controllable. and now turbos kick in at Xrpm.

do you realize the consequences   :)

i only like real wheel drive cars. i've raced a maroon porsche turbo a while ago. smoked it  ;D

never liked porches. i'm into cars with big engines and rear wheel drive. eg. vipers, corvettes and some ferraris.

i meant porches that are labeled "turbo". like the 996 turbo and the 997 turbo.

GT2's are superior and are rear wheel drive. hence the nickname "widow maker".

Doesnt the other car have to speed up to race? Looked like you just passed a mustang. Nice car though. Ford=Found on Road Dead.

So what, you beat a Mustang, the Corvette has more hp and is lighter, next time race something more comparable. Typical little man syndrome.

Let's not forget the cost difference of that... A car you can get for around 30K +5K in bolt ons vs. one you have to pay 75K stock for... If the Mustang DID win you'd be a laughing stock.

Hell, even the GT500 runs less than 50K... Try one of those on for size.

I would think turbos would be more of an issue with heat than an SC would be.  If you aren't driving like an asshole everywhere you'll get better gas mileage with normal driving and the engine will be more efficient.  It's only when you hit WOT when you gotta worry about it.

One of the reasons why there are very few (if any at all) endurance race cars with Superchargers, is due to the over heating issues. Turbos, have fewer issues, that is why Porsche has been turbocharging their Endurance racers (917's, 911's, 962's, and 911 GT-1's) since the 70's. And why Audi, had been winning LeMans with their R8 (twin turbo 3.5 liter V8), R10 deisel, and now R15 deisel race cars.

that what i was saying. never heard of anyone complaining from turbos and heat. on the contrary, two of my friends fitted superchargers on their cars, one had his engine fried, the other moved his garage to the workshop.

Again sweet car.  Vettes are awesome.  Started getting into em back in 94.  I like mustangs.  You can do a lot to them but If I had an opportunity to have a vette, I'd take it.  There is just something about a turn key car.  Sweet ride.  Definitely living the dream.

April 2009- United Arab Emirates rally champion Muhammed bin Sulayem was involved in a rather serious crash while driving a Renault F1 race car on the Dubai Autodrome. Sulayem was supposed to race its Renault F1 car against a Ford GT, but just after the start, he lost control of the car and hit the barrier severely damaging it. The driver was not hurt, but the car need serious repairs.

And the only thing he had to do was, drive straight.  8)
Apparently for some people that's very hard.

from rally cars to F1? that was bound to happen  ::). check his garage though, he is a mega exotic car collector.

never seen one of them. Saudis weirdly never drive old sport cars, you will never see such a car on the road. and if you do, it will always be an American or a European. i'll let you know if i see one though.

couldn't find other pictures though.

the GT500 is slow. it's heavy and has shitty aerodynamics. even if they made a GT1000 it's still won't be that fast considering it's $/0-60 ratio.

The GT 500 is heavy and I would agree, not the most aerodynamic design.  But, the design is intended as a throwback, which it accomplishes very well.  It has a bullet proof powertrain that has loads of power potential.  A Whipple blower swap will easily bring out its true prowess.  However, it really isn't a "sports car", so much as a muscle car.

I don't get the fixation with supposed 0-60 times.  One typically doesn't just race to 60 mph and call it off.  1/4 mile time is a much better indicator of overall performance.

I was reading 0-60 magazine, that in Dubai, new is better because of several reasons. People are judged by how new the car is, and that everybody wants the newst thing out. And that if a car is over three yrs old, they can't sell it for a profit. Could it be the same way in Saudi Arabia? Here in the states, old cars very much appreciated. If a guy has a old Ferrari, he's seen as not just somebody with money, but somebody who actually knows his cars. A true enthusiast. Also Old cars are very much appreciated for their power and their aesthetics.

Having Old car shows or Muscle car shows is part of American culture. The Car in American Culture is liken to the Horse in Mongolian culture or our Plains Indians culture. One is not seperate from the other.
