... for me locking out means your resting.. it makes the movemnet easer for me and lets the muscle off the hood.. my range of motion once i get heavier is 80% .. one i max like with 405 I HAVE to lock out or it will crush me.. Ive done a double with 405 before and you best believe i HAD to lock out on the first rep to rest so i could dig deep for another....
so in actual fact not locking out 100% is harder and its keeping the tension on the chest... this is whats work for me... in my earlier first 2 yrs of traing i used to lock out... but as i got more experience this is whats giving me very good gains
