But, I need my quads fullness too.
Possible?

I hope this is true, i've been running and I'd like to lean my legs out. Shadow can testify that my legs are massive, hence why i don't train them.

K-why not do a non-impact cardio exercise like elliptical or bike?

Yeah i think he advocated Cross-country training (running on uneven ground, hopping up over curbs while running, etc.) and interval training in Arnold: The Education of a Bodybuilder

Yeah, I used to do.
But, I noticed that jogging stimulated my metabolism way better than those. OK,some time i do stair master. But,stair master burn my quads even more.
Bike was worst, that stimulated less than others.

I think you're right that jogging seems to stimulate fat loss better than just about any other exercise.  why not try jogging on treadmill instead of on hard road.  treadmill removes about 50% of impact.

I would recommend doing about 500 backboard touches in lieu of the jogging.

SOME treadmills remove 50% of impact, certainly not all.

When you take a few steps, jump and touch the backboard on a basketball hoop.

true.  i was referring to commercial models--star trac, life fitness, etc.  not sure if your sears model would do that.

I think it interferes with your recovery and f's your joints up, if you put any effort. If you don't put in effort, then it's just a waste of time imo.

"losing muscle mass" is an overstatement.

you don't lose muscle mass easily, even as a natural, if you train and eat correctly.

jog all day if you want Kyomu  8)

Yes.You are right.
I normaly do it on treadmil. Less stress to the quads than normal jogging on the road.
But, since paco close his gym on sunday,I do it on the road sometime.

Haha. All day is bit exaggerate.
My opinion is 15mins jog is not harmful to the quads growth.
But, just I needed another peoples opinion since i dont know any competitor doing that around me.

I know a guy who used to be a bodybuilding trainee of Vickie Gates.

Pretty big dude with quality muscle; he said Vickie would have him run anywhere from a mile or two everyday.

I dont think 15 minutes a day would affect you adversely at all. Continuous running will rip muscle off of your legs faster than anything but chemo

You mean that continuous running will give more cuts to quads or burn muscle, Which?

i think he is saying that 15 minutes will not cause muscle atrophy.  but longer running periods may.  and i do beleive he is correct.
