so are you proposing attire standards. well, make a proposal that includes all contestants(female and male). one way is having everyone wear the same type...no variations. a standard outfit for women and men. perhaps award an exclusive to a startup company for a standard competition suit. personally i don't give a shit about what people wear on event day or how ridiculous they look.

I do think the thong thing is wack. And i have been to many shows. Compteted and been to a gym many times. Bob youre cool, but come on man dont go there. Competitive bodybuilding is a very small part of bodybuilding. The general public (including most people who workout = build their bodies) will always find the current form of competitive bodybuilding awkward. I don't see how attending a show would change that. Of course it's brought up constantly - because it's awkward, not because people bringing it up are gay and don't workout. That's like saying if I bring up the topic of not liking the Village People means that I am gay and have never actually listened to any form of music at all.

The smaller trunks have evolved as the criteria in BB changed...in the old days, we wore trunks to COVER our asses, not show them off.

If the judges stopped rewarding glute striations over shape, or symmetry or proportion or muscularity...then there would be no need to show them off.
