when both were competing close to their best nasser was always kicking levrone's ass.. the only area levrone could be compared with nasser in was his great shoulders and arms..

i agree that levrone's career was more successful in general but when both were at their best Nasser was clearly better.. much better upper legs and calves, wider and thicker torso which made him more proportioned than levrone who needed a bigger torso to match his great arms and shoulders..

a career is measured over an extended period of time, not just 3 years

for that reason Mr. Levrone is superior

i believe that both of us are saying the same thing.. that kevin's career was better but when both were at their best nasser's body was better..

Except for his back and the oily delts/biceps. Also, while Nasser was big, Kevin did have much better muscle shape and also never sported a gut like Nasser.

Despite what you feel his weaknesses were, Nasser did beat Levrone numerous times during his prime from 96 to 99 AC.  True Kevin was placing in the top 6 for more years than Nasser, but at their respective bests Nasser consistently beat him in most shows.

Levrone got runner up in the Olympia in 95, and then again in 2000 (i think or 2002)... Levrone could come back even today and probably crack top three at the O.

Peak Nasser bests everyone and everything ever seen on the stage. I truly believe that.

I think Kevin had probably better consistency - funny that people never mention his rampant synthol use - but he never matched Nasser at his best. Nasser has admitted that he did tail off a bit later in his career.. events like September 11th and his obvious demotivation and falling out of love with the sport after the constant crooked fixes and thefts of his olympias took their toll.

However, for a 4/5 year period Nasser genuinely built the most perfect physique in terms of mass, symmetry, proportion and conditioning. Kevin was not proportional, he look freaky at times with his big , synthol arms and delts but he was not as proportional as Nasser. This is important part of the judging. Nasser at his best was perfection because nothing dominated and nothing was under developed, just perfect.

Levrone had already past his prime in '96 event though he got to runner-up placings at the 'O after. But his legs kept being weaker and weaker. His prime was between 92 and 95 (specialy those two editions). Levrone had his best had a complete physique which Nasser never developped unofrtunately. Nasser looked great from the back (and with good def) at a lighterweight then looked great from the front at a heavierweight (but lost his back) and he never had both at the same time. You would have to add Nasser's bodyparts from different years to get a picture of how he could look at his "best". And that's where lies the problem, Nasser never ever reached his true peak.
