While I think gay marriage is bizarre to say the least, I dont think the govt has the right to tell people how to live.
In a sane world, we would not even be having this discussion because the idea of gays marrying each other would be a non-starter.
Hard to say. About 10% of the population tends to be gay but apparently this is the most pressing issue our world and culture has to deal with in its entire history. So important that the rules of democracy have to be suspended. If the Governor of some random state decided a vote wasn't necessary for re-election everyone would be pissed but this issue being more important than someone's right to vote or respectfully disagree is retarded.
I'd stopped caring about the issue until people here said gay judges had a right to punish her. That means they think anyone being interviewed for a job needs to pass a litmus test on gay marriage and know what the perfect answer is supposed to be. That's fucking insane because employers don't have a right to ask people certain questions. Not even saying it's another "don't ask, don't tell" issue, it's a case of "none of your fucking business how I feel about gays" thing. That's like saying someone gay should pretend to be straight on job interviews even though people don't have a right to ask.
All I care about is if someone can do the job. A guy could be straight, gay, bisexual or even trisexual (will try anything

), as long as they get the job done right and show up on time it doesn't matter one bit. Show up late and I'll fire your ass, that shit annoys the crap out of me.
