2009 NY Pro - Predictions for the contest

All right, I am going to start with some predictions and see where it takes me...  this lineup is much stronger than I thought, and probably one of the strongest NY Pro lineup in years.   I wish I was going to check out this contest.

First of all, forget the East Coast bodybuilders, I think the winner of the New York Pro show is going to be none other than Silvio Samuel, who lives here in the Los Angeles area and will continue his streak of good fortune.

So here goes... for the main show (changed because some went from main show to 202 and under contest)

Keep in mind that the competitors have to choose one or the other, they CANNOT compete in both shows like they did last year, which means that David Henry is choosing to be in the 202lbs and under contest instead of the main show.

Only one of those drug abusers I am remotely interested in is Markus.  He should win the show but probably won't for political reasons.

Silvio will be more complete, but a lot smaller.  If Evan's condition is poor, he'll be 4th or worse.  

Personally, I see Ruhl and David henry as being the guys to watch in this show.  

it will come down to this... do the judges want this to be another non-eventful Silvio win?  Or will it be the coronation of potential Olympia contender Centopani?

My guess is that they'd love to see Centopani come in ripped and win this show... turn the results into a STORY, and not just another resume-filling win for Silvio, who always shows in good shape but has reached his ceiling.  Evan is a story, and I think if all else is close he'll win it.

He has never had a problem with his condition, although he is working with a new guy this time.

I dont think so, he has a chance to be in the top three at this show, and qualify for the Olympia.  With the 202lbs and under, he has already proven he is the best 202lb and under right now, but he can make that decision when they weigh in, I think.

How can so many people put a first time pro competitor (EVAN) ahead of seasoned pros and top  Olympia competitors (Henry 10th and Hide 13th)  Not to bash the guy but I want to see what the guy can bring to a pro stage before placing the title of heir apparent on him.  It has been more then 19 months from last he did anything.
