ive played competitive golf all my life excluding the last three years.  and not competition between slouches, i was in the JGANC... you know, th one tiger pplayed in    with 12 yera old girls shooting in the low 70's...   i know golf and i know that your delusional or lying if you say you drive over 350....  you have no idea just how far a ball has to fly in order to go 350....  when you absolutely crush the ball and it looks like it is going to fly off the course way past the green, right then your probably driving about 280 or so...    the best drive i EVER saw was at the pebble beach pro am in 2002 by tiger... and that was about 310... and tiger swang hs fucking ass off to ge it that far

LOL. Got a bone, Db, and won't let go, eh? These days, I play like about one round a year - a memorial best ball tourney, and we turn in a scratch score. Pretty good stuff, but there are teams turning in 15-20 under par!!! Needless to say, we have to wait a while before heading to the prize table.

What does Zuback do on a regular length, 370 yard par 4?  How does he take his foot off the gas pedal when he's routinely going over 400?

Jason is an intelligent person; I'm impressed with his knowledge and passion for long drive.  He's more articulate than tour pros.

here in Calgary (high altitude) Zuback hits it 390 on the fly. i've seen him in the greenside bunkers on par 5's off the Tee.  he outdrove Bubba Watson by 70 yards in a televised skins match. ( Jay stuck his second shot 1 foot from the pin for a tap in Eagle. Watson was pissed ( he is the longest driver in the PGA).

Jay is a licenced Pharmacist, on leave because of his demand.  very intelligent.

btw, there is no way i could keep up to him in the gym, not weight wise or training volume.

His swing speed is also in excess of 130 mph on some drives...he can certainly hit it over 350.

sometimes yeah. but rarely does he ever get there. only when he is on a down hill with wind at his back. or one or the other, if he makes great contact with a bbig wid eopen fairwa.

You don't know enough to say whether I can or can't, as you've never met me or seen me hit a golf ball.  There are MANY guys who can drive the ball over 350.

im a pretty good golfer, i havent played for months, i only play maybe twice a year now, but when i play ill still shooot in the 80's. when i use to play everyday and take lessons from a pro, i could shoot alot better.


the farthest i ever drove was 305, but in reality it was about 240 or so.... and thats because i was in oregon playing a course with huge fairways and there was like 20-30mph winds and a lisght downhill with really hard short grass.

I have exceptional ball-striking skills...but everything goes to shit when I get near/on the green.  I don't play much either...and certainly dont have time to practice.  If I did, I would get back down into the mid-70s pretty quickly.

First of all, those numbers for PGA Tour driving distance factor in anything hit off the tee on a par 4 or par 5.  Many times, these guys are hitting 2 irons and 3 woods if the situation calls for it.  Secondly, they are trying to swing in a fashion that combines distance with accuracy, whereas the long ball hitters are swinging out of their shoes aiming for a 50 yard wide grid.  You can't compare the two.  Tiger can go 350 when he really wants to.

I tottaly believe you man. 300 yards is not that much when you know how to hit the golfball with a good driver. Watch this guy cracking them. He is just some average guy hitting it pretty far, now it's not hard to believe someone who plays alot can hit even further.

Maybe in Palm Springs. The courses in that part of town are very cheap, as Palm Springs is. Too broke to move to LaQuinta or Rancho Mirage    Real driving ranges are 330 to 400.

Trust me, the Coach knows jack shit about golf. He lives in a low income gated community in Palm Springs, very cheap and not in a great neighborhood. He just moved there not to long ago. He fails at bodybuilding and believe me, he cannot afford golf. The golf courses in Palm Springs suck. You have to go to La Quinta or Rancho Mirage for the expensive challenging courses. The courses Coach plays on are only 9 holes. It is no wonder the driving range is only 250 yards.hahahahhah  You can bet no pros play there if its 250 yards.

Again, like I said, I wasn't calling you a lier I was just putting things in prospective. If I have an accurate 270 yard drive with a little longer approach, I'm fone with that. But if I have a 320 yard drive off in the rough into the trees, I have a shitty second shot. I'll take the shorter drive.
