Doesn't mean we can afford $33/gallon egg whites, though.

I had to pay $24/gallon the other night and was *pissed*.

I'm all about supply-and-demand, but if my only real concern is getting 24g protein per cup of egg whites, I'm fine paying $14/gallon. (I just got caught out at the wrong store the other night)
